Washington St. LB Mizell kicked off team

Washington State starting linebacker C.J. Mizell has been kicked off the team after he was arrested this weekend in connection with a fight at a fraternity house. Coach Mike Leach said Tuesday that Mizell was no longer on the team because of a violation of team policy. Pullman police say Mizell was arrested Sunday on misdemeanor charges of assault and trespassing.
UNLV coach Hauck picks new coordinators

UNLV announced that coach Bobby Hauck has shuffled his staff, moving tight ends coach Brent Myers to offensive coordinator and defensive backs coach J.D. Williams to defensive coordinator. The moves were announced Tuesday. Rob Phenicie, who was offensive coordinator during Hauck's first two seasons, will continue to be quarterbacks coach.

Stanford LB Skov arrested for DUI

In a rarity for a prestigious academics university that prides itself on a higher standard, Stanford had a player get into trouble with the law. Star linebacker Shayne Skov was arrested and jailed last weekend for driving under the influence. A Stanford University Department of Public Safety spokesman said Skov was arrested for driving under the influence Sunday at about 2 a.m.
Nevada promotes Bradeson to run defense

Nevada promoted safeties coach Mike Bradeson to defensive coordinator and announced running backs Casey Moore will not return to the program. Coach Chris Ault said Monday that he plans to hire three new offensive coaches, including a coordinator who will also be quarterbacks coach to help expand the Wolf Pack's pistol offense.
Badgers hire TE coach Faulkner from Pitt

Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema has hired Eddie Faulkner to coach the team's tight ends. Bielema hired Faulkner away from Pittsburgh, where former Badgers defensive coordinator Paul Chryst has taken over as head coach. Faulkner spent last season as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Northern Illinois.
